I got my new driver's license in the mail today, with my new name and my new address, all shiny and everything. But the problem is that in my picture I look absent. Like mentally unavailable. They have the whole no smiling thing apparently, so I tried to look as not-angry as I could and it just came out blank. Big eyes with no expression at all.

Now comparing this version to my last driver's license picture, I really can't complain. They've gotten rid of the awful bright blue background, and I'd like to think things have improved a little for me in the last 6 years. Let's face it, you can't really get worse than the awkward, my-shirt-matches-my-skin, still wearing braces, scared 16 year old look. 

So I suppose I really should be thankful.
