get out of clearing the dishes.
We had BBQ chicken for dinner tonight, so of course there was tons of messy dishes to clean up. Brilliant me decides to make an attept to escape the horrible job. The only problem, I ended up doing them all. Anyway, my idea was to have a badmitton tournament to see who would have clear them all. I thought that I could easily beat my little brother and sister and get on to something more interesting for the evening. Wrong! Instead I embarrasingly lose the first game to my little brother. But of course, I thought to myself that little Brenna didn't have a chance since she usually spends most of the game spinning in circles. But guess what? Wrong again! She creamed me. It was humiliating. And then as I was scraping disgustingly greasy plates and setting them in the dishwasher, the kids came in every few minutes and said things like, oh, I'm so tired, I think I'll go watch some tv; and, the table looks so nice, you're so good at that. I think next time, I'll just be content to clear my own share of the dishes and not try to come up with any ideas.

figure out how to get up for work at 6 am.
Since its getting to a boiling 95 degrees or so, my brilliant friends decide: lets get up at six tomorrow so it won't we won't have to work in the heat! But what they didn't think about was that we'd have to get up before six o'clock! Is it even light out before six?
Plus we already worked in the afternoon on the hottest day this week...so we might as well sleep in tomorrow. Oh well, at least we can still go swimming in the river after work. Which is soooo cold! But feels wonderful.
Oh and another update on the college adventure: I've been chatting with my roomate and one of her friends (neither of whom i've met) and after talking today, we realized that our parents grew up together. My mom and her dad were actually neighbors when they were kids. So I guess that's a preview of my upcoming days of playing dutch bingo...which I just recently discovered.

find orange bath towels to match her new dorm deco
My friends are blogging! Yipee! Now someone will read my blog! I have less than 40 days until I leave them and now I can read about them everyday! Even though our friendship has gotten a bit stressed since we have to stand shoulder to shoulder eight hours a day at work, I am dreading being thousands of miles apart from them. But today we made up lots of stories while we worked. (thankfully today we didn't have to take cuttings of roses, because its not fun at all working with all those thorns!) In a few weeks we won't be working together anymore and we'll all be making new best friends :( :(

No Readers :(
Yes I do realize that absolutely no one reads this. However I know that my mom will in 45 days or so because she will miss me sooo much. And since I remembered my user name and password I can finally blog, not that I will, but at least I can. And maybe my sisters will miss me at least a little bit so they can read my blog too.
Tomorrow I get to actually do something social instead of spending my entire day huddled over a table picking leaves off cuttings, so I painted my nails a pretty berry color to hide the awful stains from the plants. And even though I might have to get up early just so I can get enough hours in, its kinda nice to get out.
I also am now starting to write my roommate who seems to be really sweet. And I'm going to decorate my dorm room in burnt orange and chocolate brown. And even though it will clash really bad with my roommates purple and white quilt, it will be fun to try something fun and exciting. I'm even going to get bright colored towels and some floor cushions!
And the dutch date at the top is in preparation for what my sister calls the cultural wasteland (but I really don't think its going to be that bad, I'm actually looking forward to it).
