For some reason, after a week of sleeping as much as I wanted, I cannot fall asleep whenever I want (or do not want). I have easily stayed awake through six classes, and failed to take three naps. I don't understand.
Now usually, when I'm feeling kinda sick, I sleep. When I'm stressed out, I sleep. If I've had a bad day, I take a nap. If I'm bored, I read for a while and then fall asleep. If its nice outside, I grab a blanket and sleep in the sun. If its cold and rainy, I climb up into my loft and curl up for a nap.
Basically: I do not do well not being able to sleep. I'm used to not being able to stay awake in movies, books, class, anything. This staying awake buisness is going to drive me crazy pretty soon. I might even have to resort to taking nyquil like my roommate. And trust me (and Heather), that never leads anywhere pretty.
But quick update:
22 hours of my field experience to go,
29 days of class left,
6 more Saturdays of hanging out in the dorm (the last weekend in a dorm in my entire life!!!!)
116 groups in front of us to pick their on-campus housing (that's a really good number by the way) and
10 days until Easter!

snow day: a weekday in which students of schools and colleges all around are staying in bed and waking up to hot chocolate and fleece blankets
blizzard day: a weekday in which we, as responsible college students, hike through treacherous terrain in order to attend class and gain valuable knowledge
They quit running the snowplows on the sidewalks because: first of all, they couldn't make it up some of the sloped walkways because of the ice, and secondly, because by the time they had finished a sidewalk it needed to be gone over again.
So instead of walking to class like a normal person, we got to jump through snow drifts and slide on black ice.
13 days till spring break...
