The exciting day is over, and now its my least favorite day of the year. For every other holiday, the let-down of the day after is somehow compensated for by the arrival of some type of day-after activity. For instance: The day-after-Thanksgiving sales: my favorite day to shop. The day after Independence day: all fireworks are 1/2 off...etc. But day-after-birthday? nope. only the realization that you're another year older (not that I'm anywhere near old enough to be complaining about my age), the thought that the next day that is devoted solely to you is 364 days away, and the hours of waiting for the great birthday present that you ordered online to come in the mail.
But as for my birthday, the morning was spent overlooking the beautiful view from Mary's Peak and enjoying iced latte's and scones and the in the evening the whole family managed to meet for a wonderful Olive Garden dinner and a trip to the drive-in. Oh and of course, chocolate cake. Happy Birthday + 1 day to me!

acutually......i messed up. its not 265 its 365!!!!!!!! DUH! mom was all like..."brenna what was with the 265 on gerons blog isn't it 365, oh i bet you feel stupid now" and yes i do feel stupid now
